This piece deconstructs the white tiger and incorporates traditional Asian elements, transforming it into a "door god" figure, protecting the souls of the good. It's ideal for display at the entrance of an institution.
This painting draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese painting theme of a ferocious tiger descending the mountain. In popular culture, it symbolizes bravery and triumph over adversity. It also possesses the power to ward off evil and bring peace to the home.
Here the white tiger is redrawn in four different ways, namely:
mecha (giant robot), warrior, human body and officer, which culturally
correspond to the beast’s strength, bravery, power and passion.
